Artificial Love

I've been thinking and thinking! I want to be ready with the premise of the story before November. I figure if I can come up with a good synopsis and thirty or so scenes - vague ideas anyway - I have a great chance at doing this. The rules are that you can't start writing until November 1st but they encourage outlines, notes, whatever.

I had to create a cover - it inspires me. Now, of course, I need some sort of song - again, it gets me in the mood to write. Wow! Everyday about 2,000 words a day!

So, here is the synopsis I just wrote out this morning - let me know what you think:) This could be incredibly absurd but what the heck?

Artificial Love synopsis: 

Emma and Phil Corrigan’s marriage is on the brink of collapse. Emma, an ambitious NPR news correspondent, is one step away from filing for divorce. Phil, a brilliant scientist and creator of the U.S. Government based synthetic genome project, is desperate to save their marriage. After an amazing break through in his lab, Phil derives a plan to get a second chance with Emma. By combining laboratory genomes (synthetic life) and Emma’s actual human DNA, he creates a synthetic life form – an artificial version of Emma. Thrilled with his findings, the Government encourages him to create a new kind of soldier but Phil hopes to use it to have a second chance at learning to love. What he doesn’t count on is artificial Emma and the real Emma finding out about each other. Phil has to stay one step ahead if he is ever going to be able to reconcile his relationship, satisfy the U.S. government, care for a newly created life form (who just happens to have developed a crush on him) and keep his project from being sabotaged by foreign agents in this Paranormal, Romantic Comedy, NaNoWriMo original.
