Russian spies and a Halloween party scene had to have a place in Artificial Love (my new book endeavor) after I read about the beautiful Russian spy (accused) in Texas who liked to post photos of herself in "sexy" Halloween costumes on her FaceBook page. You just can't make that kind of thing up!
So, I am busy plotting away so I will have something to put my protagonists up against. Yes that is plural. I think Emma (the wife and now PBS journalist not NPR - seemed funnier to me for some reason) will have a much more active role and possibly more than Phil, the husband. Right now, I am more comfortable with a female voice so, I'm going with it.
the Theme? Love conquers all, of course - even when faced against FBI, Russian Spies and a husband's misguided attempts at understanding women.
I can't decide how exactly the Artificial Life will pan out. I see her as sympathetic on one hand and as a cold blooded machine on the other - maybe a mix of both? But then do you destroy her or tame her?
Talk about writing by the seat of your pants! I'm looking forward to it though. I will keep you posted this week on the plot progress and character development and then I start on Monday (Nov. 1st). Yikes! My goal: 2,500 to 3,000 words a day. Here's hoping:)
