ACT III

I made it out of ACT II with the point of no return into ACT III. I am rethinking my personal goal of 60,000 and really just want to get an ending together without worrying what the word count will be over 50,000. With all the re-writes and there will be LOTS of rewriting to be done I am confident the story will increase by 10s of 1000s of words. Let's think about REVISION later - deal?

I still like the story; though, I have created some major holes - whoops back to REVISION! Anyway, I'm just making a note of it and will keep going forward. I feel very confident (pending a natural or maybe man made disaster) that I will cross the winning finish line in time; so, it does take a bit of pressure off and I am allowing myself to relax when writing and not watching the counter at the bottom of Word!

I'll come back in on the blog after typing "THE END" to let you know - hopefully, that will happen next week:)

  1. Hi Catherine,
You are my 600th follower (I hate the wording 'follower', but I guess all the better words are trademarked elsewhere?), and I promised my 600th 'friend' a prize. Since you don't know me yet, instead of asking for your mailing address and sending you a goody, I have a better idea. More on that next week, okay? :)

But, first, let me say hello. Hi! *waves* What a pleasant treat to follow your trail back to your lovely blog. Thank you for stopping by mine. Nice to 'meet' you. :)
CONGRATS on doing well with your Nano WiP...you are so close. And, yes, revising a Nano-novel is a fairly hellish. Lots of rewriting and fleshing out involved. But, as they say, you can't revise a blank page.

    Thanks again...and Happy Thanksgiving.
    Hugs,
    Lola
