NaNoWriMo Winner:)

Yes - so I did it.

Likes about it:
1) I'm good with deadlines - very motivating
2) I actually met quite a few other writer in the process.
3) I wrote a novel: beginning, middle, end!

What I didn't like so much:
1) Being so word count focused - the first week was a good motivator but then it became a drag and I felt I was just writing anything at times -which is what they said would happen but I didn't feel good about it.
2) The idea that no one will read it or even express an opinion on the concept.
3) The fact that I have to go back and revise when I haven't even read any of it since I wrote it! - very scary.

Overall? I'm glad I did it. Not sure if I would do it again - ask me next November. I'm putting Artificial Love down for a month or so and in the meantime I'm have a look at some creative non-fiction. Have a class that I am looking at taking through University Wisconsin (email course). My goal next year is to get a piece of creative non-fiction published so, getting a head start on it. So, I'll keep you posted on the email course and what I will be working on next.

It's none of their business that you have to learn to write. Let them think you were born that way.
