So the kids are finally back in school. The copy writing is picking up a bit of speed and I am anxious to start another book, BUT . . . I've printed out Artificial Love - 100+ pages of it. I can't move on to another book until I re-write/edit this one (it's just one of my writing rules). I have to admit, I am a bit nervous about reading it. I haven't looked at it since the last day in November when I was declared a winner in NaNoWriMo.
What I am think is that I will rewrite and give it away. Maybe just post it on Scribe and here too, of course. It is a relatively short book and I think will be a fun read. Is Urban Fantasy my genre? Urban Fantasy is what I think Artificial Love would be classified as but will have to see. I'm not sure - it was fun but it was mostly the romance aspect and the comedy that I found entertaining. My science may not be completely up to par. Hopefully, the laughs will allow the reader to overlook that!
I'll keep you posted on it and I also submitted a short story to NPRs 3 Minute Fiction. The topic was laughing and crying. Had to be less than 600 words. I LOVE flash fiction. I'll post that here too - it was a rendition of the original short story that inspired my first book, Losing Stanley.
Cheers for now:)
Late to the party... Belated congratulations on your NanoWriMo award! Coming back tonite to read Artificial Love after finishing a dino costume. Keep at those publishers. I am confident that you will be posting an announcement about a publisher. The question is when.
